Norway are a European nation
based in Scandanavia with a modest record in world football. The national team
play their home fixtures at the Ullevaal Stadium, which has a capacity of
25,572.
Despite boasting many talented players over the years such as Premier League winners Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Henning Berg, plus other Premier League stars including John Arne Riise, Morten Gamst Pederson, Jan Aage Fjortoft and John Carew, Norway’s football shirts have rarely been seen at major tournament finals. In total, they have reached three World Cup Finals (1938, 1994 and 1998) and only one European Championship Finals, at Euro 2000.
Norway have the enviable record of never losing to Brazil in four matches against the South American’s, the most recent of which came at the 1998 World Cup, where Norway qualified from a group which also included Scotland and Morocco to reach the knockout stage for the only time in their history, before being eliminated in the second round.
Other than that, their only success at an international tournament came in 1936 when they finished in third place at the Olympic games, claiming the bronze medal.
The Norwegian home shirt is traditionally red in colour and is worn with white shorts and navy blue socks. These colours represent the Norwegian national flag. White shirt printing completes the kit. The most famous Norway jersey is the version worn at the 1998 World Cup Finals.
The Norway away shirt is predominantly white in colour with blue shorts and white socks.
Norway had a long standing partnership with Umbro, who supplied the national team kits for nearly 20 years between 1996 and 2015, having taken over the contract from Adidas. At the end of the Umbro deal, the Norwegian FA signed a partnership with Nike to run until at least 2021.
Whereas Norway kits had previously been hard to source during the partnership with Umbro, the switch to Nike has led to an increased supply of Norwegian clothing. At UKSoccershop, you can buy the official home & away replica shirts, shorts and socks, which can be personalised with the name and number of any Norwegian star past or present and even your own custom shirt printing.
We also have a great selection of classic Norway retro shirts, plus training kit and clothing including t-shirts, hoodies and gift accessories such as mugs, phone covers and laptop skins.
